香港政府對假貨的監管相比大陸要嚴格一些，但是由於covid-19以前大陸迷信香港無假貨，致使香港商家能在極快的速度賣出產品，自然無法被香港政府查到，即使查到也是一個極其賺錢的一項買賣。
如今隨著眾多香港不法藥店販賣假貨或者正貨和假貨混賣被查處，香港藥房的口碑迅速在本地和大陸崩塌。
